Last Thursday I got the pleasure of going to the Original Costume Museum Society's annual Gala which this year was themed 'On the Rocks". Ivan Sayers, who has been collecting vintage clothing since he was 17, presented beautiful outfits from his collection focusing on cocktail hour from the 1920's-late 1960's. The show was none the less spectacular and it was so fun to get dolled up and step into a room full of people dressed in vintage.
Today I ordered the cutest ankle booties off asos!!! I am so excited for them, they are Vivienne Westwood for Melissa Plastic Dreams. Of course I will post photos when they arrive, but there are so many precious styles to enjoy and the best part is....they are waterproof and some are scented! I found out about them a year ago and have been contemplating the purchase since, they remind me of my barbie's shoes. Although the heels are really sweet I felt safer and more practical to purchase the booties for the rain.
I can always count on Cynthia Rowley for a few cute playful patterns from season to season. Here is a small preview of her 2011 resort collection, I think I am in love! I have my heart set on the pink dress with the whimsy pattern I have the perfect shoes for it!
little late on this one, but here is my arcade fire outfit. As you can tell I am a fan of colour and pattern. I have 3 different patterns going on here; a brocade, wood grain triangles, and of course bows!

Last night I was fortunate enough to see Montreal's The Arcade Fire for the second time in my still young life. They did not let me down and played yet another truley magical show full of energy, good music, and nifty dance moves. Régine Chassagne, as always, was dressed in vintage like a rag doll out of Babes in Toyland, catching the audiences attention with her beautiful voice and admirable sense of style. Not to mention how nicely her accordion completes the look.
